Jeremy Spillane had never written a book before - there was never anything that gripped him enough to make him embark on the massive amount of hard work that writing a book entails. In his twenties he was offered the job of Sub-Editor on the local newspaper, but after much internal debate he accepted a much better paid job in the electronics industry. By his very early sixties, he accepted that his life was pretty ordinary and simple, nothing Earth-shattering was ever going to happen to him…then his wife, Caroline’s parents died. Joan died first, then a few years later, Roger. All of a sudden, he just had to write a book about what happened next… He lives in East Yorkshire, England.

Dr Penny Sartori worked as a nurse in a British hospital for 21 years, 17 of those being in Intensive Care. She is highly experienced and skilled in her role as an intensive care staff nurse; and has conducted unique and extensive research into the near-death experiences (NDEs) of her patients. In 2005 she was awarded a PhD for her research into NDEs.

Dr Sartori’s work has received worldwide attention and media coverage. She has spoken at many conferences both nationally and internationally and her work has received the attention of HRH King Charles.
