Global terrorism, bioweapons, despots, and a deadly new virus all combine to make the world an unstable place, particularly for Samantha Michaels, an analyst with the Central Intelligence Agency, and for Cassandra Stanley, captain of a US Navy guided missile cruiser. Fears mount as weapons of mass destruction are tested by North Korea’s Supreme Leader and a deadly pandemic sweeps through the world. When missiles capable of reaching the United States are tested, it’s clear North Korea must be stopped.

Ripped from today’s news headlines, The Paris Contagion spans the globe. Can the Supreme Leader of the Democratic Republic of Korea be stopped before Armageddon is launched on the world?

The story had both with Action, Lots of Story content, and good characters too. It’s a little window into the analysis of other governments and their leaders. Maybe this story follows a collection of highly possible events. Again, very engaging and exciting stuff!

Unlike Farlow's book, A Quantum Convergence, that includes inter-dimensional travel and telepathy, this fictional story borders dangerously close to reality. The details of the story and dialog seemed so real I had to keep reminding myself the story wasn't a documentary of current world events. With highly accurate descriptions and authentic dialog Farlow helps you step into the shoes of the United States military as they decide if, when, and how to take down a menacing leader bent on teaching the world's big players a lesson in power. To give the reader a respite from the overall gut-wrenching adventure she superbly crafted, Farlow interlaces stories of the personal sides of some of the characters to show their humanity as they battle an inhumane monster. Narrator Hillary Huber should also be commended for doing an incredible job of bringing Farlow's story to life with her assortment of voices and skilled narration.
