What if all the things you’ve been doing to try and relieve or prevent your pain are actually making it persist?

From pain relief to pain management strategies, modern-day treatments for chronic pain often leave sufferers feeling let down. But what if there was another way to experience complete freedom from symptoms?

In The Pain Secret, mindbody practitioner and chronic pain coach Miriam Gauci Bongiovanni outlines a simple pathway that can benefit a myriad of chronic conditions. In this book, you will discover:

  • What leads to the onset of a wide array of chronic symptoms according to emerging research
  • Why pain management strategies and medical labels could end up making symptoms worse
  • The ‘secret’ triggers behind the persistent symptoms and how to eliminate them
  • How to work with the brain’s neuroplasticity to switch off the pain response
  • How to return to unlimited physical activity without pain or fear of pain

Miriam draws on her personal story of recovery from chronic shoulder pain, sciatica, neuropathic pain and fibromyalgia symptoms, and builds upon Dr John Sarno's groundbreaking teachings on TMS (Tension Myoneural Syndrome) as well as further studies conducted in the field of neuroplastic pain. The Pain Secret reveals the shocking truth about the development and persistence of mindbody symptoms, as Miriam guides you through a process of deeper emotional awareness and mindset shifts that will radically change how you think — and act — in relation to your own symptoms.

This book is extremely well written. The author weaves in powerful personal stories about her own experience with chronic pain, using them to clearly illustrate the concepts that helped her heal. I’ve read nearly every mind-body chronic pain book available, and this one stands out as truly excellent. It covers a wide range of mind-body principles, including TMS, with clarity, depth, and compassion. I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with chronic pain.

Exceptional Book for people suffering from chronic pain!
