great but scary idea of the fall of america

I really lined the story line and can not wait till the next book in series comes out. My hat off to the author and story line.

good book!

loved the book, but I just can't imagine Dawson as the green beret. maybe because I know him from the Adam Carolla show. but still a good performance.

Would you try another book from Robert Patrick Lewis and/or Mike Dawson?

Yes. I am very interested in finishing the series. The book is meant to be more a bit more educational than entertaining.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Pact?

It was interesting to see how special forces would prepare for disaster events.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

I was not impressed with the narration. The pace was ok, but the narrator had little variation between the male characters and none of the women even remotely sounded like women.

Was The Pact worth the listening time?

Yes when I found out the point of the book.

Any additional comments?

After finishing the book, rather unsatisfied, I did some research on the author. Eventually I found a interview where he detailed the whole point of the book. Paraphrasing "while meant to be entertaining, the series is suppose to give you a glimpse into near future events, current events, how military personnel would prepare for such events and how you should prepare for such events." Keep this in mind while reading and it will be worth your time.

Great story

I enjoyed this great what if scenario by Robert Patrick Lewis and fill as if I could listen to again.

Okay. Get it if you like this sort of thing and it is on sale.

The writing is at about a high school level. The narrator uses the same voice throughout, so that takes a wild to get used to. I'm used to it much more high quality production but the story is the kind of thing I like to hear so it kept my interest.

What an outstanding story. Character development was excellent. Story was excellent. Reading was excellent. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.

Hooked! Great Storyline - Action Packed

Patrick does an incredible job at grabbing the readers attention and instantly hooks you with the storyline. He really makes the reader feel like you are actually in the story; and his military descriptions will immediately have any veteran identifying with the situations. I listened to this while driving to work and couldn’t wait to get back in my truck to hear more. Can’t wait to hear the follow-on to this one!

predictable, but a good read nevertheless
