Charming - In Every Way

I'd expected to dismiss Guy Veryzer’s ‘The Other Prince Charming’ as nothing but an amusing trifle and a a way to spend a few hours listening to a convoluted, probably trivial retelling of the Cinderella story.

I was more than a little surprised to find this story actually quite charming. All of the newly introduced characters - particularly Cinderella’s half border, Dustino, and Prince Charming’s younger brother Prince Julian - were clever and welcome additions.

The spot on narration by the author made the audiobook version particularly welcome. I'm sure I enjoyed it more than if I had read the book.

If you enjoy clever retelling of old fairy tales - or if you’ve never listened to one before - this audiobook is definitely for you.

The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Very Enjoyable

I found this story very enjoyable. There seems to be a lot of retellings of Cinderella but this one of Cinderella's brother and Prince Charming's brother coming together was a first for me. This is definitely a story to enjoy again and again.
Guy Veryzer does a fabulous job as writer and narrator of this story.

Great book, kept my attention all the way to the end, amazing audio delivery, loved it. Will be reading again, every chapter was received amazingly do recommend you give it a read.

This was sweet and cute and full of chuckles

I’ve read some of Veryzer’s books before and—while enjoying them—not liking them near as much as this one. He paints some pretty, and some funny word pictures. The kind of book I’ll reread a few times a year.

While there is sex, it is less open than many books these days, and fits the fairy tale.
