change the name of this book to the only safe retirement book you'll ever need. the advice for retirement is solid, but there are significant sections he glosses over. the author is old, so his advice comes from his experience, while telling you common advice like the way the market has behaved is not necessarily the way it will behave. so through that contradiction he also gives poor advice on crypto and "meme" stocks, excluding "never short a meme stock." that is solid. also he calls pfof the spread, as if it's normal to be cheated out of your money.

This is a broad overview of how to save money, live better and become wealthy. Simple summary. Spend less than you earn. Don’t use debt to finance your lifestyle and buy 2 Mutual fund investments or ETFs of the broad US and global stock markets. Invest at least 10% of earned income and you may be able to retire in 30 years. Invest more if you want to retire earlier. If you must gamble your money only spend what you want to lose in crypto, commodities etc these are not investments only speculation. Choose well and retire wealthy. His counsel is spot on. I have practiced it. When I follow his advice I have made money. When I don’t I lose money. This is the simple path to wealth.
