Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes...disgust. I bought the first book and thought it was fun, so I bought the next 2 right away. Half way through the 2nd book, I realized that I'd made a huge mistake. I decided to read the last book just to see if the America or Maxon redeemed themselves....they didn’t. The themes in the book appeared to be Obedience- Submission and Subservience particularly in woman. I kept waiting for America to stand up for herself, to tell Maxon to take a hike especially when he’d speak to her like she was his possession… for the record girls, that is NOT romance that’s what a weak, chauvinistic hypocrite sounds like and if any guy talks to you like that dump him!

Please don't let your teens read this---it's the bachelor for young girls and the adult version is bad enough!

True love story

Wow! Since listening to the first book I was hooked. Towards the end of this book I thought that they might not make it but I probably saw the ending coming. I really enjoyed it and it's what I expected because the story line was so juicy and romantic and of course a little scandal. The narrator was very helpful in keeping me hooked with the way she acted out the voices. Love this series! My most memorable moment is when she gives her jewels that Maxim gave to her to the guy who was going to serve life and she told the guy to pay for what he did by handing the jewels to Maxims dad in public where everyone could see. Yes you go girl America!!

Rollercoaster

It kept me on my toes all the way throughout! Definitely recommend it for romantics!

Inappropriate but interesting

Starting from the beginning it was quite seductive despite the colpdivating (probably spelt it wrong)plot I didnt want to finish but once I start a book I have to finish it

haven't slept in four days

Started book one this week. The first 3 books flow into each other and makes it hard to stop. Exciting romance story. I can finally sleep and pay attention to my family again. lol
