Nothing stood out except the deadness of the voice.

I didn't sense any romance here. It felt like explanations were more prevalent than actual emotion. The virtual voice was dead and didn't elicit any type of emotion at all. Very disappointed that a lot of the audio books are going this way. I may have to cancel my subscription if I am only going to listened to a fake voice with no emotion for the type of books I enjoy listening to.

Omega rights, blah, blah, blah. Repeat over and over…

Remove the repetition and this story would take an hour to narrate. As it is, this is a tiresome tale. Don’t consent to listen…

Virtual Audio is A$$

This is basically directed souly to Amazon and allowing AI.

The story is good but the virtual AI Audio sucks. There’s no emotion, crap inflection and the whole read is flat. I’ll not be giving another virtual audio book a try (this is the first one I’ve tried) pay for Narrators! AI sucks! L

AI Isn't Horrible Here

DNF. Had I been reading this story, it would have been akin to reading a high school essay where the number of words counted toward the grade. The number of repeated phrases is ridiculous. More on that later.

Disclaimer: I'm not an English major, so if a story is not grammatically correct, I probably won't notice. Also, please forgive any grammatical errors I may (will 😆) make in my review.

Performance: AI isn't horrible here. My main complaint concerning AI is that it removes the human ability to infuse the story with proper, plausible emotion. In this case, sometimes it is aggravating when AI puts emphasis on the wrong word or emphasis where it doesn't need to be. Also, in this case, it makes you laugh out loud. When AI repeats the word "mine," it sounds like the crabs on "Finding Nemo," I had to laugh 🤣 , because, of course, it's repeated in the story "mine, mine, mine," in several occasions. I didn't find too many mispronunciations other than "hind." Poor Mateo (actually pronounced correctly) and his "hind brain" (pronounced like you say hinder (as in to prevent) over and over and over... throughout.

Story: 1-star - The story itself is horribly written. The constant repeating the same words and phrases, over and over,...and over, during and after the mating scene, made me throw in the towel at chapter 8.

Frustrated listening !

This could have been a good book but the author used the same phrases over and over and over. I would not recommend it. I almost stopped listening several times but trudged through it. If this is an example of her style of writing, I assure you that I will not listen to any more of her books.
