Many people in the nearby little town of Rivering were well aware of the situation. Margery Sharp needs a better narrator
One of the best of the Margery Sharp books, and it's lovely to have in in audiobook form -- but the voice of the narrator doesn't go with the book, and her emphasis and cadence are often off.
