Publisher's Summary

Three women who seemingly have nothing in common find that they're involved with the same man in this smart new rom-com by Beth O'Leary, best-selling author of The Flatshare.

Siobhan is a quick-tempered life coach with way too much on her plate. Miranda is a tree surgeon used to being treated as just one of the guys on the job. Jane is a soft-spoken volunteer for the local charity shop with zero sense of self-worth.

These three women are strangers who have only one thing in common: They’ve all been stood up on the same day, the very worst day to be stood up—Valentine’s Day. And, unbeknownst to them, they’ve all been stood up by the same man.

Once they've each forgiven him for standing them up, they are all in serious danger of falling in love with a man who may have not just one or two but three women on the go....

Is there more to him than meets the eye? Where was he on Valentine’s Day? And will they each untangle the truth before they all get their hearts broken?

Critic Reviews

"Sweepingly romantic, bursting with character, and so, so clever I gasped out loud. Many writers make you feel good, but O'Leary also makes you think." (Gillian McAllister, author of That Night)

“Beth O’Leary is that rare, one-in-a-million talent who can make you laugh, swoon, cry, and ache all in the same book, and The No-Show is her most moving yet. O’Leary’s wit, charm, and heart are on full, fantastic display in this cozy, surprising, and deeply satisfying novel. I couldn’t possibly love it more.” (Emily Henry, New York Times best-selling author of Beach Read and People We Meet on Vacation)

"Achingly clever." (Sophie Cousens, New York Times best-selling author of I Just Haven't Met You Yet)

Disappointed

This isn't really a romance and while the cover leads you to believe it's a light hearted romp it is anything but. It's sad, depressing and disappointing.

A bit slow, but an amazing end

I liked this book all throughout, but it did get a bit boring in the middle. The last 1/3 is amazing: engaging, beautiful, sad, adorable, very human.

Lovely!

Skip the spoilers, skip the book jacket blurb and just enjoy a wonderful story. It has lots of twists and turns. I fell in love w 4 main characters. Very satisfying ending.

Unexpected Great Listen!!

I was pleasantly surprised at the way the story was written! when I first started listening, I wasn't 100% into to the story. Quickly that changed and I really enveloped myself in the characters loving g everyone of the them.

Not a comedy!

I like this book very much but I do not understand why it is being called a Romaric comedy. I didn’t laugh once. I did cry though. It is serious, complicated, and sad. The cover is a misleading insult to the deep emotions inside.

Incredible story!

Really one of those roller coaster stories in which it is impossible to predict. You hate the characters, you love the characters, you cry with the characters. Just perfection- I couldn’t stop listening. Such a well plotted book.

The performance was top notch with multiple narrators.

Disappointed

I wanted to like it but it was so confusing. I’m glad I held out to the end to at least partly understand how it all connected together.

Excellent book but probably better for reading than audible

This book, once completed, is truly fabulous. I was left thinking that the format is likely much better for reading plan for audible because of the constant transition between characters in time.

Happy Ending!!! Unexpected twist!!!

Narration being separarte helped keep everyone straight. It was so great to be taken on this journey.
I thought he was a two faced jerk, but WHA?!? He’s not. The buildup learning 3 women’s stories was worth it. The twist happens about 1/2 way through at 5+ hours the WHOLE story changes in a fantastic way. You will end up liking this particular dude.

Note* it’s not labeled lgbtq+ but there are 2 significant minor characters that are lgbtq.
