Storytelling at its finest

This was one of the most linguistically beautiful stories that I have heard this year. The narration gave a musical quality to what was written as if meant to be sung. This is the story of an unlikely heroine whose destiny has been cast and remolded numerous times. She grows through the twists and turns, building friendships along the way. I can’t wait for the opportunity to listen to Book 2.

A complex garden of a book

Seriously a fantastic book <3 rich floral (pun intended) world building and nuanced characters. Do yourself a favor and give it a go!

latin fantasy done exactly.

A story with great charm, whimsy and culture. A suporter of the author and waited a while for an audio release. Did not disappoint. The story is very much character driven, and an outstanding calibration of a "hero's journey" and "chosen one" story.

It’s beautiful

I may be bias as a Vanessa. But it’s beautiful. I fell inlove with the story when it was a TikTok.

I loved the storytelling.

I can’t wait to read the next book in the series because of how abrupt the ending was. I absolutely loved this book. The characters are wonderful.

Her Journey was Fascinating

I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It was easy to listen to, and my go-to when I am driving. If you like a little fantasy, easy listening, and learning about the main characters of books, you may enjoy this.

Highly anticipated, did not disappoint!

I absolutely loved this story!! And the authors journey! What a lovely example of seamlessly interweaving languages! However, the narration took me out of the magic a bit: odd cadences in some places and inconsistent voice/character changes. Hoping it's improved in the next one.

Amazing, start to finish!

I heard about this book on TikTok and I’m so glad I did! This is such a wonderful tale I didn’t want it to ever end! I’m so happy to have come across Natalia Hernandez’s video and I look forward to listening to future tales from her!

I really enjoyed the story. I found both the world building and the characters to be very compelling.

Strong women, magic and wonderful world building.

The way of the storytelling in these books reminded me of the famous Tamora Piercer's book series of Alana the fears young worrier. This to book takes me to that same place of wonder and amazement.
