Excellent material in a relatively short time.

With minimal fluff, this covers important basic material then turns to excellent insights and checklists for improving investment selection. It could use an update in the introductory info, such as there are good points made about mutual funds, but there is no mention of ETFs.

A balanced approach on investing

I liked how simple and effective the guidance was in this book. Overall basic principles to maximize long term success.

Solid fundamentals - some concepts are quite dated.

I enjoyed this book overall. I found it through Brian Feroldi’s book recommendations. It gives clear analytical processes to evaluate stocks by. I wish they updated some of the concepts, especially around trading costs and current stock prices. As a financial planner, I noticed the criticism around the financial planning profession, much of which has evolved since this book was written.
