My new favorite series

it's been a while since I've read a whole series of fantasy books, though I've read many in the past. This one is excellent, and there is a level of depth of realness, of real feelings, real struggles, and real personal dynamics that I've seldom, if ever, seen in other books. I would recommend it for all ages, but if younger ones are going to read them, better the parents do first. There are some parts that are pretty dark, but in a good way. It's hard to explain. I guess you just have to read them!

Once again Andrew Peterson delivers a captivating installment in this saga. My 10 year old daughter can’t put the book down and I can’t wait to be in the car so I can listen to the fantastic audio version. Hearing Peterson’s own voices for each character couldn’t be more valuable in making these characters come to life.

Did not disappoint. So often as a saga continues it can drag on. Not so with this series. it's a masterful tale with a masterful narrator!

my seven year old begs to listen to "just one more chapter". This story brought tears to our eyes and a message to remember. can't wait to read book 4.
