Publisher's summary

Things are about to go from bad to wolf in the howlingly entertaining third book of the Wingfeather Saga.

Janner, Tink, and Leeli Igiby, the Lost Jewels of Anniera, are hiding from Gnag the Nameless in the Green Hollows, one of the few places in the land of Aerwiar not overrun by the Fangs of Dang. But there's a big problem. Janner's little brother - heir to the throne of Anniera - has grown a tail. And gray fur. Not to mention two pointed ears and long, dangerous fangs. To the suspicious folk of the Green Hollows, he looks like a monster.

But Janner knows better. His brother isn't as scary as he looks. He's perfectly harmless. Isn't he?

Full of characters rich in heart, smarts, and courage, The Monster in the Hollows is a tale children of all ages will cherish, families can listen to together, and book clubs are sure to enjoy discussing for its many layers of meaning.

Ready for book 4!

I’ve been enjoying this series so much. The author does a great job with his performance for each character. Even though I own the paperback versions, I would rather listen to it being read. The storyline is well thought out and Andrew Peterson has written a story that flows. It’s so imaginative! I can’t wait to find out what happens next but I also dread the end because I’ve enjoyed having the Wingfeathers in my life (or I should say, being apart of theirs). I recommend listening or reading this series.

Heartrending, exciting, character building

We laughed, we cried, we cringed, and we saw ourselves in the struggles and victories of the Wingfeather family in this next leg of the journey!

Every book gets better!

I was introduced to this series by one of my Grand Treasures. He lived the books, so I started reading them to have something to share with him. I was hooked three chapters into book 1.

8 year old boy

I’m a homeschool mother to a 5 and an 8 year old boy. My 8 year old son is dyslexia and reading has been such a struggle. This action packed series has been such an encouragement for him to push through difficult learning curves. The parallels that we’ve been able to talk through as the book brings about real life struggles has been wonderful. Highly recommend!

The best series I have heard in years!

This is by far the best series I have heard in years. I am so sad it is over. I can not wait for more to come. My 5 children are grown adults now and I am recommending the books to them.

Exciting story, deep truths

I am 75 years old yet I loved this YA story for its exciting action, thoroughly lovable heroes, and mysteriously hidden villians. The themes of love, understanding, forgiveness, and redemption are subtle, not preached. Universal human weakness and self-loathing are eased and released. Love abides.
