Publisher's summary

One night, Benjamin Lomond found a painting hidden behind a wall. At first glance, it seems odd. But looks can be deceiving, and the painting has a power waiting for the right time to be unleashed.

The Billion Dollar Man: Ben Lomond

This is a very unique story. Based on originality alone this book is worth the listen, not to mention it is a decent short story. Roberto Scarlato’s tales would make a great episode of … fill in your favorite 30 minute science fiction or horror show. This one is no different and is a fun story to listen to. It definitely makes you think about who you are and what you would do.

This story revolves around pretty much one character and I can’t say I care for him too much. He isn’t the nicest of people and I feel like he deserves everything that comes his way. Nothing in this story is predictable and you get to see what someone would do with their life when given the ability to change the outcome of their situations. Can’t say I wouldn’t follow the same path, all the way to the end.

Mark Sando does a good job with the narration. He provides emotion in his character voices and really adds to the overall tone of the story. I really enjoyed his pace as I didn’t have to bump up the speed as much.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Never Trust a Djinn!

This book was not what I was expecting, in a good way. As my title says...never trust a djinn! Roberto Scarlato takes the "careful what you wish for" to a new level. This story is isn't really suspenseful or full of adventure but it does have its twists and definitely has an ending you don't see coming! The narration was well done and really helped to pull you in. An interesting story well worth an hour of your time.

Great little story!

The narrator did an excellent job on this well written quirky tale. It's a short but very entertaining story.
