Publisher's Summary

Sexy, dangerous, unforgettable...the Madaris family and their unlikely band of friends captured listeners' hearts and souls. Now, in The Midnight Hour, best-selling author Brenda Jackson brings us another breathtaking novel featuring the Madaris family and friends.

Once, CIA agent Sir Drake Warren gave his heart to a woman - a fellow marine whose death in an explosion left him aching for justice. Drake vowed he would never love again. But his devotion to his former lover is tested when he meets his mysterious new partner, Agent Victoria Green. With golden-brown eyes and skin like melted chocolate, Victoria leaves Drake yearning for the love he lost - and flirting closely with the white-hot passion he once knew, he's sure he'll get burned....

Few people know that Victoria was once a marine named Sandy Carroll...and that she was embroiled in a fervent love affair with Drake until an explosion nearly killed her. Her life-saving surgery gave her a new face and identity - that of CIA operative Victoria Green. Now, Victoria is bound by duty to keep her true identity a secret, especially from Drake.

Paired on a deadly mission, Victoria's senses are awakened by Drake's every move. But just as the passion she's denied for so long threatens to boil over, Drake begins to put together the pieces of the puzzle. And when he does, will Victoria lose him forever?

Sit Drake won my heart!

When I was first introduced to Sit Drake in the Madaris friends Series and was captured by his no nonsense to approach to their situations and his kick butt attitude. Underneath all of that bravado is a giant heart that loves hard, is loyal to those he loves with a sense of honor that should be marketed in the real world. Pete Ohms just brings the story to life for me and I find myself listening to the Midnight Your over and over! Great story!

Sir Drake!!

Sir Drake is my favorite character in the Maderis series and I couldn’t wait to read his story. This book did not disappoint me at all. I knew he was a big ole sweetie pie. The writing was Brenda’s best and Pete’s reading of it was so much better than the earlier audiobooks. I am glad he improved. I almost stopped buying Brenda’s audiobooks because I could not stand Pete’s reading of them.

Strong Adventure

Lots of adventure and action that captured my attention. After awhile the narrator's voice became the storyline allowing the romance and adventure to take center stage. Enjoyed it

excellent reading and listening

Many have complained about Ohms narrating. If any of these readers have lived where accents are different their complaints have NO meaning. Accents are different from Maine to all the states. I enjoy this deep rich voice of this narrator. Please continue to use him. The American English language is beautiful in All of the state.
