The classic transformation story by Kafka. A man is transformed into a bug and how everyone deals with the situation from his mother and father, to his employer and paying boarders, and himself.

Amazing classic story, well worth reading. However this recording is extremely quiet and has an incredibly irritating loud piano music loop accompaniment all the way through that makes the (elderly) narrator nearly impossible to hear. Extremely, frustratingly difficult to listen to. I bought this through an Amazon Alexa (unable to see much info) and it chose this version for some reason rather than the more popular ones. I wish I could get my money back.

Great book but TERRIBLE recording - unlistinable

It is said here enough that the recording was horrible.
I am grateful to the narrator for being willing. Unfortunately he lacks some verbal articulation and struggled with a few of the words.
The story was presented completely without emotion and almost entirely without verbal dynamics.

Key climax points of the story were almost inaudible and drowned out by the background music so I missed several major plot milestones.

My gratitude for the gentleman who has preserved this story, who is obviously a man of deep thought and reflection as is apparent by the last section, but ouch! It really did hurt to have it read to me this way.

Thanks but Ouch!

Because this what this audiobook sounds like. The annoying music is louder than the slurred narrator, I have no idea what is being said. This is ridiculous....

Just listen to a drunk at 2am in a crowded bar
