Publisher's Summary

Welcome to the mercenary ship The Blue Solace

Leti Ando needs off planet and fast. He has a best friend and a new half-sister to rescue, and he needs to be sneaky about it. Unfortunately sneaky isn't really his thing. With the help of a friend, Leti and his menagerie, along with his two companions, stow away aboard a mystery ship. Little does he know that The Blue Solace belongs to the infamous mercenary, Captain Will Hackett, a man he'll come to love with everything inside him.

Will has been in a bitchy ass mood for the past six months. He's restless and grumpy, but doesn't know why. He knows he needs something and he can't find it, but his crew are out of patience and insist on some R&R back home at Charybdis Station.

Then Hack finds a stowaway angel and everything changes. Leti is his mate and he'll do anything to keep him safe and happy, even smile.

The galaxy's not a safe place, though, and The Blue Solace has a job to do: pick up a renowned scientist and his mysterious artifact. Then get them safely back to Charybdis Station. Hack and Leti don't realize their romance story is about to get hijacked by Concord mercenaries. Their love is easy, it happens just like that. Staying alive and keeping the galaxy safe? That's a little harder.

Author's Note: 42,000 words. This is a m/m insta-love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is action, a little sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. Age 18+ listeners only, please. It is also the first of two books about this specific couple.

Nice new sci-fi

The characters and the plot is totally fresh. I loved the new animal loving, baby and children adopting goodhearted mercenaries. I am not a MPREG fan, but this was Ok. Not overdone. The narrator delivered a good performance, his dialogues are great. His breathing and cadence of his voice is Ok. I hope he does the whole series. I definitely recommend this audiobook, its fun!

<br />ok story

The story was okay. I love intergalactic romance. Especially MM. I couldn't seem to get invested in these characters. Not that they were not well written. I just was not into it.

The narration was great. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Good

First book in a great series, Leti escapes his planet with his best friend and baby sister, along with a assortment of pets. When Captin Back finds the stole away's, he also finds his mate. A new relationship, a growing number of kids, and a deadly mission, and a Dragon who can use the toilet

A mercenary Captain, his fated mate and a dragon!

This was really really fun. 😁 This reminds me of those really OTT space operas I used to watch in my teens. Funny, lighthearted and totally angst free. ❤️ What more could a girl ask for? 😉

Leti has always despised how his father treated everyone in his household including him. The man is narcissistic, discriminative and pompous. But the atrocity of him peaked when he decided to sell his own child up for sale because her mother was a slave. Since Leti can’t let his half-sister become a slave or meet a possible worse fate than that, he has decided to take matters into hands once and for all. It’s time, Leti, his best friend/bodyguard, his half-sister and his menagerie of house pets run away furthest possible place in this galaxy from his cruel father. But Leti has never dreamed the captain of the ship they stowed away, the infamous Captain Hackett is his mate.

Simply put, this is absolutely hilarious! 😂 Leti is so quirky and adorably clueless. And my! His menagerie of pets! They are even funnier! 🤣 Seriously, I feel for Captain Hackett who instantly found himself with a fate mate with a really huge entourage. 😅 And the space adventures they had! They are awesome. I also loved that this is totally angst free because I needed that fluff in my life. I think everyone in this story is so cool and fascinating but I must admit, I have a soft spot for Princess Buttercup! 😅🥰 The narrator did a good job narrating this story too. It was really enjoyable. Well, I cant wait for the next book in the series. Because I need me more space operas! 😉

Adorable!

I was so excited to start this audiobook! The true mate trope is one of my faves and when I listened to the narrator...bam, sold! In fact, I waited to review it since I wanted to listen to it again. Usually the true mate arc is in shifter stories, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this as an “alien” story. For the start of a series (and a new-to-me author), it wasn’t hard to follow along with the different species, planets, weapons...and pets, haha. Everything was clearly explained and none of it was confusing, which is frankly not the norm with some authors and can be equally frustrating when you’re listening for the first time instead of reading. Leti was just the most adorable thing ever (and so were his sweaters) and the relationship between him and Will seemed to progress naturally considering it was a love-at-first-sight thing. The only complaint I had with the storyline was the lack of steam, but that’s a personal preference and not a direct knock on the author. Don’t get me wrong, there are “relations” between Leti and Will (so if you really are only looking for romance and nothing else, consider that a warning), but they are sort of vague and infrequent. As far as narration goes, Connor Brown is a new-to-me narrator and I was equally impressed. There are a lot of characters in this book and yet it wasn’t hard to follow who was talking at any point in the story. He was what had originally sold me on this audiobook and I’m happy to see he has more on Audible that I can check out in the future. Overall, this was book was humorous and so, so cute and I will be adding this one in to my TBR again pile!

Fun space opera :)

A fun and interesting story.
Let escapes from a horrible home situation, including a father that would sell his own daughter! Leti takes along his (soon to be freed slave), his baby sister (who he had to buy) and a zoo's worth of animals :) They stow away on the space ship of a notorious captain. The moment the stowaways are discovered by Hack (the captain), Hack realises that Leti is his mate.
As Leti, and his menagerie, integrate into Hack's life, they encounter danger, fun times and love. Really fun story!
The narration was just OK for me - it was nice, easy to listen to and a good way to experience the story. I would listen to the next in the series :)
