Publisher's summary

What if God called you to do something radical? What if God asked you to sell your house? Then he asked you to move away from the community where you had always lived? Then God asked you to sell your business?

The Me Disease is the story of what happened when I said “yes” to God and set out on a journey of self-discovery.

In this book, I candidly share about my need to please others while covering up my authentic self, a trait nurtured by our me-centered culture. I share about the crisis that resulted in my life coming to an abrupt halt, an event that I now realize was necessary for my life path to make an about-face. I also share about the difficult decisions that disrupted all of my familiar habits and routines. In addition to telling my story, each chapter ends with questions for you, the listener, to consider as you examine your own life journey.

Listen to what happens when God calls me out of my me-centered existence into a life of obedience, to who God created me to be. Join me on this journey of transformation where I discover it is not about me but about us. We need each other. This is about my journey, but, along the way, perhaps you’ll discover the way back to your authentic self too.

In this book, you will be given a roadmap to:

  • Your own spiritual growth
  • Accountability discipleship
  • Importance of the mentor/mentee role
  • Discover God in new ways
  • And find out who does the sanctifying

Use this power-packed tool to guide you into a deeper relationship with God and discover who God created you to be.

Want to go from me to we?

I read this book to help me take a look at my own life, to gain some insight on how to work on myself, in order to be able to be of service to others in the capacity that Christ would want me to be. The author describes this in detail and how she went from a self centered life to one with Christ as He guides her along the way. This is an easy read with lots of thought provoking questions to reflect on and it would make an excellent book for a small group to read and discuss.

I can't figure it out.

I read the book and now I've listened to the audible version. I can't figure out which one I liked better. The book was good because I could read it and make notes in the margins but the audible book was good because I could listen to it while I did mundane things around the house.
The book read by the author made it more authentic and personable.
Listening to this book teaches us how to trust God. No there is no easy way. (Of course, I heard once that the right thing to do is usually the hard thing.) Melissa puts a spotlight on how we all seem to put the "me" and " I" first but reveals that that's not God's way.
An inspirational book to help anyone on their spiritual walk. This book is for anyone!

This book is awesome !!!

I received a promo code in exchange for an honest review.
As good as the book was, the audio version is even better !!! It feels like the author is in the room with me. I love the dramatization. I wasn’t reading it with that much enthusiasm. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to go in their faith.
