Everyone has secrets…
Iris and Will have been married for seven years, and life is as close to perfect as it can be. But on the morning Will flies out for a business trip to Florida, Iris’s happy world comes to an abrupt halt: another plane headed for Seattle has crashed into a field, killing everyone on board and, according to the airline, Will was one of the passengers.
Grief-stricken and confused, Iris is convinced it must all be a huge misunderstanding. Why did Will lie about where he was going? And what else has he lied about? As Iris sets off on a desperate quest to uncover what her husband was keeping from her, the answers she finds shock her to her very core.
Don't miss bestselling author Kimberly Belle's next deeply addictive thriller, The Personal Assistant—where she explores the dark side of the digital world when a mommy-blogger’s assistant goes missing!

I only read a handful reviews before deciding to read this book and I wish I would have done a deeper dive. Someone compared it to “Gone girl” and it could not have been further from the truth.
It’s repetitive, annoying, unbelievable and just bad. So so bad. If you’ve read one thriller in your life you will be able to figure out how this book will end.
The characters are flat, and not believable. Iris mentions more than once that she’s a psychologist but none of the choices (or very few) supports that. She’s whiny, weak and just annoying.
I understand that Kimberly (author) has her whining and doubting Will’s death and “how she just caaaaant believe it” for 90% of the book so the reader can go back in the end (spoiler) when it’s revealed that OMG HE’S NOT DEAD (!!!) and think that Iris had women’s intuition/is smart or whatever the point is. But it falls flat and she just comes across as annoying.
And her decision at the end, to alert the security system goes against her entire personality throughout the book.
But above all, the one who read the book is almost unbearable. I could barely stand her voice and the way she made the voices. Extremely weird choices.
0/5 would NOT recommend.
