Story
A blinding snowstorm - and a homicidal maniac - traps a small party of friends in an isolated estate. Out of this deceptively simple setup, Agatha Christie fashioned one of her most ingenious puzzlers, which in turn would provide the basis for The Mousetrap, the longest-running play in history. From this classic title novella to the deliciously clever gems on its tail (solved to perfection by Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple), this rare collection of murder most foul showcases Christie at her inventive best.

I am sure this story would have been good and I was looking forward to listening to it. BUT the reading was awful and monotone. The emphasis within a sentence was completely wrong and the mispronunciation of words and items just drove me crazy and distracted from the story. I had to stop half way through as I could not go on.

Avoid! I’m sure the reader is a computer!
Good story but impossible to follow as it’s so drawn out and the reader sounds like she is computer generated so the emotion isn’t there, with weird pronunciation
Could have been done in half the time, I’m not sure who ‘dun it’ as it’s was so boring to listen to I fell asleep through most of it!

Man in the Brown suit
This book is read by a lady whose voice totally spoils the story as the main character is a man. She just doesn’t make the story ring true.
I was throughly disappointed with an Agatha Christie book, I will now buy the actual book to read myself instead at least I can imagine a mans voice in my head.

Author Biggers was staying at a hotel on Waikiki Beach in the 1920s when he was inspired to write the book. Story
He was a gossip columnist’s dream. Piccadilly Jim’s life was a collage of broken promises and drunken brawls. And his straight-laced Victorian aunt was not amused. So, she decided to reform him. Unfortunately, her reform project started at a time when Jim had fallen in love and had already decided to reform himself. Thus, life became complicated. Jim pretends to be himself - a beautiful display of Wodehousean logic; hilarious indeed!

Story
Mr. Thipps wakes up to the worst day ever. A dead body in his bathtub wearing nothing but a pair of pince-nez. So many questions. Luckily, Lord Peter Wimsey catches wind of this – for he has a keen mind for solving crimes, although he is the pampered aristocratic amateur. With the connections that privilege offers, he has returned somewhat battered from the war with a penchant for crime solving. This case of near-sighted nudity, taking place during the plague of 1918, takes on twists and turns both unforeseen and unwelcome.

Story
Welcome to Alderley, a magnificent mansion in the heart of the West Country where a grand house party is taking place. The preparations have been made, the guests have been invited, and the staff are on hand. What could possibly go wrong? Let the entertainment begin. The theft of the diamond necklace and the antique pistols might all be explained, but the body in the lake - that really was a puzzle. 'Don't expect me to solve anything,' Inspector Wilkens announced modestly when he arrived to sort out the unpleasantness.

Story
Raffles is Sherlock Holmes' polar opposite, a foil for great detectives and a man with all the immoral charms of a hero-thief, plus a remarkable ability at cricket. Raffles is the godson of Robin Hood, the model for Cary Grant in "To Catch a Thief," and the inspiration of Leslie Charteris' "The Saint." As the great reinvention of the trickster for the 20th century, Raffles convinces readers to throw away their scruples and follow along for wit, bold adventures, and thrilling suspense.

At the inquest, the jury found a verdict of ‘death from natural causes’ - perhaps they were right, but yet?
