A War Poem About A Non Soldier
If you could sum up The Man Who Keeps His Head in three words, what would they be?
Home Front Poem
What did you like best about this story?
This is a war poem about the man who stays home to work, to feed, to keep the wheels of commerce turning. It's a war poem about men who are not soldiers yet contribute to the welfare and prosperity of a nation at war. I found this take unique among all the war poems I have read or listened to.
Which scene was your favorite?
This is a poem so there is no scene. I just liked the overall tone of the poem.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. It is very short and I listened to it numerous times in one sitting.
Any additional comments?
A good narration by Philip Mather. Keeps the poem flowing.
