2 Pet 1:16, 20-21 (NKJV) "For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty…knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

I believe that the scriptural principles reflected in the pledge of allegiance were valid long before it was created and are still relevant today. As I study the Founding Father's application of these principles; however, I believe that they did not go far enough in their pursuit of the tenets of liberty and justice for all. Though these Founding Fathers were great visionaries, likely the greatest visionaries our country has ever known, their revelation of God's plan for our nation was incomplete.

Timely & Thorough

A thorough history of the Church and the nation makes this perspective captivating and timely. It goes beyond just the topic of the moment, but looks at both how we got here and, with much hope, paints a forward-looking view of the America we fell in love with as children.

Ivan is tactful and, in a way much smoother than I could, avoids partisan parroting. Regardless of where you land politically, you won't leave feeling judged. Rather, you will feel informed and armed with context to walk out faithful and true Christian and American witness without compromise.

I saw that there was a sequel to this book and another in the works—this will be a series I follow because the author's insights are Spirit-led and seasoned with grace. This is what we need more more than ever.

Great in depth book on America's racial divide!

This book has so much research to unpack and unravel. It uncovers America's racial divide through the spiritual, physical and mental lenses. He also depicts the innate birth of racial divides from the making of America. He goes over the system being broken from the beginning and not under God's authority or vision for this world. So many nuggets in this book that will captivate and convict your heart as to why America is divided and not one nation under God. This book doesn't seem to have any bias and goes through each viewpoint and gives factual research regarding his stance based on bible verses and political speeches. Amazing work by this author and so much information to take in regarding this pressing but vital topic in the world we live in th today!
