Publisher's Summary

There has never been a goddess in all the western traditions as maligned as the Goddess Lilith. She has been called the epitome of all that is evil in the world. She was considered wild, uninhibited, argumentative, and sexually deviant. She has been called the temptress, the prostitute from hell, and most popularly as the succubus that comes and not only steals the semen of men as they sleep, but also killing them in the process. Some of these qualities might very well be true and some not so much. One thing we know for sure is that she is a very powerful and ancient goddess. In this book, we will discuss what we know of her from the Western traditions. I will present the information chronologically; I will start with the earliest known accounts of Lilith to the most recent.

I must warn you, however, much of the evidence we have about Lilith is very biased but despite this, I think we can learn much about her and put her "reputation" into the proper perspective. Although some may consider her evil, I consider her the quintessential goddess of the left-hand path. In this book, we will discuss the story of Lilith, and more importantly, we will learn how to tap into her fierce energy so we, too, can walk the left hand path with her. She is not for the faint of heart.... You have been warned.

In this book, we will perform six rituals:

  1. To place a curse on your enemy.
  2. Bind someone to do your will. (It could be for any purpose)
  3. To gain seductive powers
  4. To gain protection from Lilith (Listen carefully)
  5. To gain courage and inner strength
  6. Sexually dedicate yourself to Lilith

Inadequate

This book contains an honest look at the deity with the author giving a fair account of the subjects history and background in various cultures. But I found the practical side of this text to be highly repetitive and very much lacking in instruction of general and specific magickal technique; its missing the theory and practices that make ritual Magick work and differentiate a Magick ceremony from mere recitation of words with props. If you already know these techniques you will not need the spells included, but if you do not know them you may find them wholly ineffective at best, or potentially dangerous at worst.

Good reference, well written

I enjoyed the information greatly, but; I can't help but feel like the author altered his voice in the recording, and that takes away from the "genuineness" for me. Still read very well, and easy to follow. My full take is although it's short, its a great look into the history and worship of Lilith from the Left Hand Path prospective which I enjoyed.

Perfect for Me!

When it comes to working with deities I prefer to get a little good base information with some rituals to help you have your own experience of them but the real point is YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE. And that's exactly what this is! I enjoyed it.

Well Mapped out for Magical Practitioners

If you could sum up The Magick of Lilith: Calling upon the Great Goddess of the Left Hand Path in three words, what would they be?

If you are interested in occult or a practitioner of Magic(k) you will find this book informative. If you have no experience, or are experienced you will find this book helpful. If gives a historical account of Lilith and also goes into invocation.

pretty good view of Lilith and decent information

this is the second book that I got from this author and it is apparent that he should not read his own books aloud. the information is quality and the presentation as far as from a book aspect is good but not great. all of this suffers however here to the author's inability to be a good narrator

A good introduction to Lilith

I have just listened to this title by Baal Kadmon. The narrator (the author) spoke clearly and powerfully, making the listening a positive and informative experience. However, the content is not for everyone, but if you want to learn more about Lilith, this book is a good place to start. In addition to the audio version., it may be worth while to have a hard copy on hand to read along with, and assist in your study.

Enlightening

I could never accept the biblical 'Adam and Eve' flaff... I much prefer Lilith involved. Magical, enticing and enlightening.
