Publisher's Summary

Talia has a secret that will save her world or rip it apart.

Scientist Talia Zaryn has always dreamt of an alien invasion and her own death. She's kept it secret, hoping it is nothing more than childish nightmares. However, when the face in the mirror matches that of her dreams, she fears she's out of time.

Talia's work at the Space Exploration Foundation leaves no time for relationships, but Landry Sutton isn't looking for a friend. He's looking for a traitor. His ability to sense emotions convinces him Talia is the traitor until a touch sizzles between them. In an instant, their minds are connected telepathically.

Together they must uncover the secrets of Sendek's past if they hope to defeat the terrifying creatures descending on their world. Talia is the key - if she can learn to trust the magic coursing through her veins.

Good Book!

This was a good book there was sadness, adventure, and magic a little bit of everything really. I enjoyed the plot and the book was very well written. I didn't care much for the narration. All in all, I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good adventure.

Fun YA Fantasy Sci-fi Romance

I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this book was. The summary came off a bit creepy with the mirror and the dream/prophecy side of it but it really was much different than I was expecting. This is a about a young woman who has been having dreams of her death since early childhood. There's magic that's not understood and a looming threat that must be uncovered. It really has a bit of a thriller aspect to it and yes romance as well. It is a very clean read, the romance gets into some heavy kissing but that's it, I honestly don't remember any bad language. The only warning is with the violence, if you are the squeamish type there are a few scenes that may really bother you. The narration was great and definitely added to the story. If you like fantasy, sci-fi, magic, dragons, and adventure then get this book it really is a fun mix of them all! Now I just need book 2! —I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I loved this story

Talia lived a life of sadness. Loosing her whole family was bad enough. Add a set of unforgettable eyes & she is destined for greater things. When Landry came into her life I hoped it would get better for her. Then the loss of her adorable pet was the beginning of her adventure. She fought monsters, gathered a mass of mages & woke up a dragon. Great story that I highly reccomendl. I also really liked the narrator. Fantastic job.

Good listen

I received this audiobook for free and am leaving my unbiased review. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The story follows a young woman who has had horrible nightmares her whole life. Although slightly different, each nightmare ends in her death, with some injuries mimicking her dream. She is a genius inventor who has been ordered to move to the city of her dreams. A terrorist group is trying to ally with human/dragon hybrids who are searching for their home planet. The story follows this young lady and the cousin of the Prince, who suspects her of working with the terrorists. The plot evolves well, with only a few stretches of credulity. The narrator is enjoyable to listen to. Except for brief cases of graphic violence, I would rate this audiobook as PG.

A brilliant fusion of sci-fi and fantasy

When I saw that this would be a book that fused two of my biggest addictions together, I had to read it, and it didn’t disappoint. I really loved it. Full of action and drama from the first page. Finely crafted characters that are easy to relate to caught me from the beginning so I couldn’t stop listening. I would have listened to it all in one go, but had to sleep lol. So I did it in 2 listening sessions and I don’t regret it. I am definitely going to read/listen to more books in this series. The narrators were greatly picked and did a great job adding life to the story. I can warmly recommend this to people who love both sci-fi and fantasy, and who like action and drama.

Awesome Listen

I loved this story! The Narration was spot on throughout the whole book. The story was well written and kept you engaged the whole time. The main characters went thru a lot together to help their world get rid of the bad guys. The introduction of other magic users who helped in this endeavor was awesome. I look forward to the next book.

I Am Certain That This Story Should Continue

For starters, I have not come across this genre since “Dragonriders”. And this is the first audiobook since “Harry Potter” that I have reviewed. So let me tell you that this is a fine addition to lend an ear too. Simply because the heroine is just quirky enough to keep me entertained and the pace has me hooked.

Romance and Magic go together!

I love all the characters! I was heartbroken when Keta died. I enjoyed the way a world without magic is saved by it. I can’t wait to read book 2, and see how they all learn to get along to continue in a harmonious world. Thanks for the romance along with the science fiction and fantasy!
