New York Times bestselling series!

The first book in the New York Times bestselling series The Lying Game, by the author of the bestselling Pretty Little Liars series, Sara Shepard.

Shortly before her seventeenth birthday, Emma discovers she has a long-lost twin named Sutton Mercer. She contacts Sutton, who agrees to a rendezvous but never shows up.

Curious at first, Emma slips into Sutton’s ultra-glamorous life, assuming her identity. When it becomes clear that Sutton is not coming back, that someone made sure she never could, Emma plunges in to investigate who could have wanted her sister gone (a fairly long list, she discovers).

Unfortunately, taking over Sutton’s life means innocent little Emma has inherited all that bad blood—and then some.

Perfect for fans of Sara Shepard’s #1 New York Times bestselling series Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game has all the juicy plot lines, to-die-for lifestyles, and compelling secrets that fans love.

This book was engaging and I can't wait for the next one. The only reason it may have been difficult to follow is because, the book is written from the dead sisters perspective. Soo There are twins who were separated at birth, one went into foster care, the other one was murdered and is now a ghost. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing the whole time. Pay attention and you will love it!

Fantastic!

This series has relatively short books, but the mystery is great. Thankfully the main character has some smarts.

Addictive

I bought this book on an Audible sale and that should've been my first clue. I wanted a lighthearted summer read, and this one had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. If you are not expecting a literature masterpiece, you would probably enjoy the book. It is well written, and although some of the situations are very forced (like how Emma found out about the existence of her twin sister), overall the plot is interesting and addictive, in a guilty pleasure king of way. I happily bought the second book, but at the end of that one, the killer wasn't even near to be revealed, and that really annoyed me. So here I am, going through the 3rd book only to find out that there are a total of SIX BOOKS! If this was only one fat book, I would probably would have given it 4 stars, as it did keep me guessing and entertained. As a trilogy I would've given it 3 starts. But 6 books??? I don't think I can stomach that, so I am just going to google who the killer is and be done with it.

Beware, there are SIX books on this series

Leaves you hanging and wanting more. Loved the narration and the plot. Drew me in from the start and held me to the end. Disappointed in the end.

Is there more?

Where does The Lying Game rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really don't know. I love books so much that I have a hard time telling which I like better.

What other book might you compare The Lying Game to and why?

Hmm, hard one. I would probably compare it to any mystery/chick lit novel out there.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the scene where Emma tells Ethan who she really is, thus making him help her.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Emma realised her only family member is dead. That touched me a lot. The way she felt, really made me sad for her.

Any additional comments?

I think this book is really awesome. Forget about the TV Show. This is so much better.

Love this series so much!!
