Publisher's Summary

Star Watch stands guard over the Commonwealth, having defeated New Men, massed Swarm fleets and android attackers. The victories have cost lost ships, slain crews, and smashed star systems. The accumulated damage means that Star Watch now strains to keep order as political instability, increased space piracy and rebellions stretch the stellar organization to the limit.

Humanity desperately needs peace so Star Watch can rebuild and regroup.

Unfortunately, Lord Drakos is searching the Beyond for a splinter Swarm colony world. The New Man believes he is a Napoleon of the stars. But he needs a fleet to prove it. Intelligence thinks Drakos hopes to make a pact with Thrax Ti Ix, assembling a fleet of renegade New Men and hybrid Swarm creatures, a fleet that will attack humanity.

Plan A has Captain Maddox capturing Drakos before he can find Thrax. Plan B means Star Watch will have to risk sending a fleet into the Beyond.

For Maddox this is also a voyage of discovery, as he learns the identities of his mother and father.

The Lost Swarm is the 11th book in the Lost Starship Series.

An enjoyable and intricate experience

As an Audibler I actually loved the story of the courageous Captain Maddox, willing his will throughout his life. The loyalty of his crew. I had purchased the Kindle book to "The Lost Storm" and began to read, making it through the first 3 chapters, but was overly joyed to discover there was an Audible I could listen to while I worked or driving home from work.

Quickly unraveling into an unimaginative mess

I have enjoyed this series up until the last two... soul damage... nuff said... It is frustrating when a series changes so dramatically deep into the story... I found the recent plot direction a clear departure from the storyline built in the previous books of the series. I am done, sadly, cuz I liked the Victory crew, even the professor! Oh well, pearls are, at their heart, just grains of sand...

Simply the best!!@

The last Swarm by Voungn Heppner. I've been waiting for this book for a long time now. Although parts of the story are inspired by other Scify stories ,Vaung Heppner was able to keep me guessing at some point and when finally Captain Maddox s most
anticipated background story was revealed,I was so attentive and exited that I cheered whend I fonaly knew who his fatherwas.I just simply love this book funny smart with a twist ,that keep me guessing !!!
