For Sam Lovell, organising the summer festival in her hometown is one of the highlights of her year. Not terrible....
The story is cute but the description of the village is much cuter. The plot is extremely predictable, with the foreshadowing very heavy-handed. The author introduces way too many details and characters, but fortunately you don’t have to retain most of them to make sense of the it.
The narrator often makes you aware that she is just reading from a page.
