Loved this book and the cover image and description did not do it justice

This is a rich book about family life, a mother and her three very different children and the feelings we hold private. Beautiful descriptions of life in Australia and Antarctica. Well drawn, likable characters. Really wonderful narration. I was sorry it ended.
