Quentin and Lottie Bredin, like many modern couples, can't afford to divorce. From the beginning you know what's going to happen and the story just goes round and round until what you know is going to happen, happens. Also the author makes sure that plot, characters and theme is balanced, loving and nurturing. A little boring.
