In Joel's Schwartzberg's 10-plus years as a strategic communications trainer, the biggest obstacle he's come across - one that connects directly to nervousness, stammering, rambling, and epic fail - is that most speakers and writers don't have a point. They typically have just a title, a theme, a topic, an idea, an assertion, a catchphrase, or even something much less. This book shows you how to identify your point, leverage it, stick to it, and sell it and how to train others to identify and successfully make their own points.

Publisher's Summary
Assistant, you are a leader.
As an assistant, you constantly face obstacles that hold you back from accomplishing your career goals. Whether it’s a job change, shifting deadlines, a micromanaging executive, a toxic coworker, a high-pressure project, or an intense negotiation with a vendor, the administrative profession is not for the faint of heart.
If you’re looking to maintain the status quo and be “just an assistant”, this audiobook is not for you. But, if you want the confidence and ability to conquer the challenges that most try to avoid, then you’re in the right place.
The Leader Assistant outlines four pillars - embody the characteristics, employ the tactics, engage in relationships, and exercise self-care - that will help you rediscover your passion for the profession and become a confident, future-proof, game-changing leader assistant. If you neglect even one pillar, you’ll head for burnout, stagnation, and anonymity. You are meant for so much more.
Are you ready to be the leader assistant the world needs?

Wonderful resource!
Thank you, Jeremy, for writing this book! It has been such a wonderful resource. I actually listened to the audiobook and followed along with my paperback copy. I got through my first read/listen in 2 or 3 days, and I’ve referred back to different sections multiple times. I especially loved the chapters on networking and burnout. I think this is a great resource for all assistants/executive assistants/chiefs of staff/etc. - no matter the years of experience.

Loved the book. I was on the edge of burnout when I started reading. I’ve managed to say no for the first time and help me feel less guilty about taking time off. Thank you so much for writing this. It should be on every assistants reading list.
