Publisher's Summary

I never thought I’d see home again.

Now, I almost wish I hadn’t.

After giving myself up to the Fae, I expected to become the latest casualty of a war that should have ended centuries ago. Instead, I ended up inextricably bound to the last vampire on earth.

My life since the Fae marked me has become unrecognizable. Inside, I’m still the 26-year-old waitress who struggled with working two jobs while being serially dumped by a parade of disgruntled boyfriends. Now, I’ve somehow become a figurehead, coveted, and despised in equal measure by two warring supernatural races.

Can I trust the fragile bond connecting my heart to the unbeating heart of a vampire? Every instinct I possess tells me to pull back...protect myself...protect him. But every time I try to run away, I end up back in his arms.

Alliances are shifting. Old resentments are flaring. Both my father and I are now chess pieces in someone else’s grand strategy.

No more. I’m done with being a pawn.

It’s time to up my game.

The Last Vampire is a steamy new urban fantasy romance series from USA Today bestseller R. A. Steffan and Jaelynn Woolf, co-authors of the Circle of Blood saga.

Download this book today, and enter a world shared by humans, fae, demons, and one very reluctant vampire. It’s a place where the supernatural threatens the mundane, nothing is as it seems, and love will either be the world’s downfall - or its salvation.

KEEP EM COMING!

Great series! The narration is always great. I love that the author stayed with the same narrator for all the books. The author did a great job with the character builds and plot. Looking forward to the next book in this series. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Excellent story!

I really like this story. You just can't help but love Rans. The narrators do a great job telling the story. The female narrator has so expression and emotion in her voice when she talks. I look forward to the next book in the series.

The plot thickens!

With each new installment of this paranormal tale, the plot thickens as layer upon layer of secrets are discovered, deceptions and betrayals are brought forth, and we connect more dots between the human, fae and demon worlds—slowly uncovering how Zorah and Rans fit in and the importance of it all. As Zorah continues to negotiate for the safety of her father, she unearths more than what she bargained for, becoming more entwined in an ancient feud, while bringing Rans and her friends in the crossfire. When the safest place is to go to Hell, she finds there is more there than what meets the eye, discovering the true nature of her grandfather as well as a deception so horrible that it could only mean destruction of the treaty and the reason why Rans is still the last vampire alive. Every twist and turn kept me on the edge of my seat, as characters cannot be trusted and each new discovery dives deeper into a world with its own rules, a possible war among paranormal realms, and what will become of Zorah and Rans as they navigate through it all. Gwendolyn Druyor continues a great performance on narration, keeping with the consistencies of the characters’ personalities and distinguished voices. #AudiobookObsession

#paranormal #romance #supsense

As I go through the story book after book, I suppose I get used to the woman's voice who is one of the narrators in the audiobook. Of course she doesn't sound so stupid as in the first one. The story is steadily progressing. Though there are some scenes which could be shorter.

Exciting!

This third installment of the series advances the story a lot. We get an even larger glimpse into how the fae, human, and demon worlds are connected and the importance of the last vampire, Rans. These writers are extremely talented and I have enjoyed this series immensely. A series full of originality! Love Zorah and Rans as characters, they're well written and have many great qualities. There is some surprising betrayal and the plot thickens in this book. There is a lot of excitement and intense moments as we follow Zorah into Hell and back.

Love the narration throughout the series and this book is just as amazing. The narrator is staying consistent from book to book and has given fabulous performances. She fits the story and characters well and had been a pleasure to listen to for each book!

Fantastic

This was fantastic. This series gets better and better each book. This time zora goes to hell to check on her father. She went not sure if her demon blood was enough to allow her to leave or would she have to bind herself to a demon. She also meets her demon grandfather who seems very interested in binding her father to him to make him better. While there she learns a secret about the humans that are being kept in hell. One she has to tell Rans who she had to leave while she went to Hell. Now she has to get back to Earth on her own. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. It is well written and the narrator does a fantastic job. I can't wait till the next book. I was gifted this book at my request for an honest review.

Pretty Good

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This book was pretty good. It has a decent balance between action/paranormal content and the romance/relationship stuff. The author provides good imagery and the characters are still quite engaging. The story line was pretty good, too. The narration is good. All in all, I did enjoy the book and would be open to more in the series.

A great entry in the series

The continuing adventures of the last vampire in this crazy world really expands upon the world building and fleshes out some things all while telling a captivating little story. We get to see a lot more of the preternatural races and the world that surrounds them, and it really works for the best. It also includes the twists, action and fun from the former entries as well and makes me look forward to more. The narration by Gwendolyn Druyor is just as good as in the prior two books, and she brings all of the characters and their world to life. A good entry for any readers of the prior books and makes you want more.

Utterly Entertaining!!

I have listened to all three books in this series and find this one the best yet! I love Rans and Zora has come a long ways! She started out on the weak side but she is slowly coming into her own. This is packed with steam, action, adventure, twists and turns! As with the other two books, the storyline is well written and the characters excellently developed. Gwendolyn Druyor is a wonderful narrator who knows how to bring a story and it's characters to life for the listener. She keeps the voices the same from book one to three. She's such a wonderful narrator that I cannot think of anyone else doing this series! If you enjoy vampire stories then you really need to check this series out. However I will warn you, they do end in cliffhangers. I do not suggest reading or listening to these out of order. Awesome series by an awesome author and narrator!

Just gets better

Even though I enjoyed book one and two I found I really enjoyed this book a lot more (so it has become my favourite in the series). I found it had a lot more to the plot and not so heavily concentrated on the sex scenes, even though there were a few (well the heroine is a succubus-human hybrid) I found this helped the story. I like the characters and the mystery surrounding them as to who is the good guys and who is the bad guys.
The heroine is still trying to save her father but the Fae still keeping there promise have shipped him off to hell but being demonkin she should be able to travel from earth to the underworld right? Traveling alone, Rans her vampire friend wouldn't be caught dead traveling there, she has to work out how best to help her father and herself but it's called hell for a reason and not everything is as it seems.
Gwendolyn narrating the story just adds to the fun and I would recommend both author and narrator.

Zorah story

Audiobook narrated by Gwendolyn Druyor, as the rest of the series, definitely liked the job she did a bit slow on times but like her voice changes. Edition was done well. As for the story, it's a paranormal romance, with lots of different characters and action that kept me hearing. There is a lot in the story so I am sure you will enjoy them all as I did, this time we get Zorah.

A great series that gets better and better

I’ve read the other books and I love this series! In fact they just keep getting better and better.
We have an incredible and imaginative world of where humans, demons, Fae and the last vampire live.
I seriously recommend this incredible series, it has lots to offer including tense drama, lots of action, twists and turns and of course romance. Really good!

The narrator is awesome and puts a lot of heart and emotion into her performance. For me she brings the characters to life. We get each characters own unique voice and personality coming through thanks to the narrator. It really helps to bring this excellent novel to life.
