Publisher's summary

Raven Romero is a washed-up Valkyrie who is unable to return to Valhalla, spending her days in a haze of sex, drugs, and alcohol. When she is wrongfully accused of murder, Raven has two options: run or clear her name. With a laundry list of enemies, she has no idea who could be framing her. One thing is for sure: they know what she is, and they'll stop at nothing until she’s behind bars or dead.

With no choice but to delve into the supernatural underground she tried so hard to avoid, Raven seeks aid and learns what it means to be human. The world believes her kind no longer exists, but Raven Romero is The Last Valkyrie.

Loved this book!

This book kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to know what would happen next. Raven is a badass Valkyrie who was framed for murder and betrayed. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. I think revenge is coming!

Narration: Jennifer was amazing. The way she narrated each character was fantastic!

Raven's badassery is who I wish I was!!!

A fantastic adult urban fantasy book with a complex character with deep-rooted issues in their backstory who has manifested into the present as anyone would.

The narrator is absolutely how I pictured Raven when she was first introduced to the Mackenzie Grey series. Her sultry voice, with the air of arrogance, hits just the right spot for the Valkyrie. I love the fact while traditionally Valkyries based on Norse mythology are fair, blonde, and fiercely beautiful, this one had Latin influence.

Of course, this author is always reminding me why I will always fall for the bad guy… always! It's a curse and a blessing, but all in all, I am in for the long haul! Totally worth a credit and I just bought the next! Keep them coming!

Even better the second time reading.

I read this book when it originally cam out without audible. The book was good then and it’s even better putting a voice to the characters. The narration is a little hard to get used to but it’s so much better.
The story line is packed with action and the events are raw and realistic. It makes you want to believe the bad boy will do the right thing and help the good guys. The narrator transports you into the book. Would recommend anyone that loves the supernatural to read or listen to this book.

nope

I didn't like the lead character. Her actions are over the top and pointless.

truly heart breaking

From her past works, I was so excited, for being one of my fav authors, I could barely get through this, the story was a good direction, but too predictable and just had to many ideologies inserted. To be YA, I was shocked. The narrator was just horrible. It was like listening to a California Valley girl having a temper tantrum all the time.
