Loved the plot, description of life in vermont, life in pathology and so moving. Went from tears to laughter! Smart, funny and thumbs up on capturing the essence of quirky individuals in a quirky field of medicine!

Excellent description of world of pathology!

This book is written by a forensic pathologist, and full of fascinating medical insights and anecdotes. The propulsive murder mystery takes place in Burlington Vermont, and is gory, edgy, heartbreaking, and full of dark "morgue" humor. The narrator, David Pittu, brings the same performance magic that he used in the Goldfinch to further enrich the already colorful characters. Highly recommend to anybody interested in the underbelly of the hospital: autopsy medicine.

The Last Morphologist is one of those books you just can’t stop listening to/reading. It is a literary gem that brilliantly blends thrilling adventure, mystery, and humor with profound medical expertise (giving a glimpse into an area of the hospital that I was not familiar with). Narrator was 💯. Highest recommendation!!

Fantastic

David Pittu's narration is amazing, but the ending felt somewhat anti climactic with no real resolution. I've listened to it a couple times trying to discern what the plot was really trying to impart on the reader. The writing is really good and the story is interesting, but the lack of a solid conclusion left a big loose end.

Outstanding narration, story fell flat
