Publisher's summary

There might be no such thing as werewolves, vampires, or ghosts, but apparently evil dickhead Klowns are real.

Tempest Michaels is once again investigating ridiculous cases that are clearly not even slightly paranormal in nature, but his daily menu of fun is interrupted by a plague of men dressed in garish outfits with twisted clown makeup as they terrorize the Kent towns and villages with ever-escalating and more-frequent attacks.

If they were not enough of a nuisance, he has foolishly employed a woman with whom he is utterly in love. Trying to ignore Mr. Wriggly’s thoughts about what to do with his new colleague, he goes after his silver medal, a girl he lusted after years ago at school. But while Mr. Wriggly might not care tuppence about the difference, is Tempest’s heart really in it?

The Klowns should be a case for the police to solve, but their leader appears to have a serious beef with Tempest, and they are coming for him and anyone who gets between them.

Who are the Klowns? What do they want? And what's with the ridiculous smiles?

Throw in a demonic possession, a restaurant with ghostly footsteps, and some more meddling by his mother, and it looks like another entertaining week for Kent’s best paranormal investigator.

The Klowns of Kent Blue Moon Investigations, Book

Tempest is pulled into a mystery involving clowns. The news is full of clowns appearing and causing issues. Then they start to accost and injure people. Eventually actual clowns come to Tempest to ask him to find out what's going on. In the meantime a new paranormal detective shows up and like Tempest's friend, Frank, fully believes in the supernatural. As supernatural cases show up the new detective starts to poach Tempest's cases. Then Tempest is targeted. Who will survive?!
Charles Robert Fox is a fantastic narrator who brings Tempest and his friends to live.

Disappointing Narrator

I enjoyed the story...but the narrator's delivery is frustrating. He pauses in the middle...of every single sentence. His voice, accent, and characterizations are fine...but the constant pause in EVERY sentence makes for a very choppy performance. The technique can be used to good effect on an occasional basis...but not all the time. I could not listen to it straight through...as I would get annoyed after a while. My irritation with the narrator's delivery would...overshadow the story.

So bummed with the narrator

Love this series! The first two were amazing. This one it took me twice as long to listen to because the narrators performance was just wrong. He has a lively Winnie the Pooh voice, but his cadence is off and I wonder if he has breathing problems. I love the the stories but won’t get another one with this narrator.

Reader is terrible!

This reader pauses in odd places and his speech sounds slurred at times. I bought the next book because I wanted the story but he gets on my nerves. I don’t want to listen to any more read by him.

Death is No Laugh

Tempest enters his most frightening investigation as he chases down a murderous gang of klowns (that's how they spell it), the leader of whom has Tempest in his sights. Even with the help of his friends and Amanda, he and one man will fight to the death on their own. Charles Robert Fox is the perfect voice for the ex-soldier and paranormal investigator, bringing Rochester's most honorable and resolute detective to life.

Series picking up!

This series had less sex talk than the first two, but certainly some.

This was much better than books 1 and 2, and I have already read book 4 and can say I’m definitely enjoying the series. In my opinion, book 4 is lighter than this one, but no less interesting.

Narrator has an odd way of pausing in the middle of non-pause parts, like every sentence, so it takes a bit to get used to; for awhile I kept breathing with him and getting lightheaded. Lol

loved the story, don't like the narrator.

The stories are great, the narrator kinda sucks. Really dislike when they change narrators. The readerof the first 2 books were funny and put life into the characters. this guy falls flat.
