Publisher's Summary

Home-field advantage has a new meaning.

For former baseball pro Abraham Jenkins, the struggle to find a way home has grown harder an harder. The past he was transported to is no longer a strange new world, and the nobles he serves are as familiar as his old coaches.

Now, he and the King's henchman are dispatched on a quest more deadly than ever before. The queen is sick, and they must venture into perilous territory to uncover a cure for her. But the further they go, the more clear it becomes: There is a traitor among them.

Wielding a magically telepathic sword, Jenkins not only must face off against vicious creatures, but also protect himself against his own crew. Teaming up with an unlikely ally, he knows the King's credo is meant to come first - above all - even his own life.

Battling his past and his present, Abraham struggles to survive. But how far will he have to go to save himself? And what home will he return to, when the very meaning of the word has become blurred.

WHO THOUGHT PUBLISHING THIS WANNA BE WRITER WAS A GOOD THING??

While this isnt the worst book in the garbage pile, it has definitely earned its place in the trash bin. The narrator is 75% of the problem with the audiobook. He over dramatizes EVERYTHING! His voices are annoying and all very very similar sounding. The author is weak in imagination. He fails to deliver in originality. He writes the same junk and same similar stories, with the same plot and following storylines as 1

As good as the first in the series!

I was not disappointed with the 2nd book in the series. Still enjoying it immensely and looking forward to the 3rd book.

Good continuation of a good story.

Very interesting story. Glad that the story continues unbroken through each volume. I wish that the voice portrayal had more distinctivenes. Especially in regard to the female characters. The action is well described so that you can feel like you are right in the midst of the battles.

This series is painfully bad.

it kinda seems like a 15 year old boy wrote the series. it's not great, I give him props for effort but wow is it shallow. And the narration is probably the worst part, it definatly detracts from the whole story.

a great book.

I wish I could have the complete series like the paperback version or at least an omnibus of the first few books.

PLEASE LET STICKS DIE!!!!!!

Omg! I hate that character! The story would be sooo much better if she came to a painful end!

I skipped half the book skipping over the parts with “Sticks” in it!

The book is okay, not the best thing in the world but it’s like an anime cartoon with that one stupid character that is just plain annoying! Obviously, it’s that stupid character sticks.

I personally really enjoy the way this story is progressing. I find myself laughing out loud at instances. But more importantly once i hit start I have no desire to stop the book it moves very well. I don’t find myself bored during the reading.
