The Marks of a Best-Seller

Loved this book from the beginning. Just as many shocking twists as some of the favorites as well! I didn't want to put it down the entire time! I recommend this book.

Very Good

I thought this book was the best so far. It had suspense and a good mystery. I was a little disappointed in the ending as the author didn’t give many clues that this person had committed the crime, but the book was very good.

Dr. Melissa Caudle Nails It

If you are a lover of can't-read-fast-enough cop/crime fiction, I highly recommend anything Dr. Melissa Caudle writes. Characters you will care about, convincing dialog, gruesome crime -- she nails it. The only nights I lose sleep are the nights I am reading her books because I simply cannot put down.

Interesting Concept

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
This book has a little bit of everything. A serial killer or two, family strife, political scandal, drag queens, and a little science fiction all rolled into one. The main idea behind the plot is great, and there is never a dull moment throughout. However, there were times when so much was happening simultaneously that it became a little confusing and made for a very long listen. The narration was good, and the emotions of the characters were captured well. However, I didn't care for some of the sound effects utilized (thankfully they were used sparingly).

Overall this book left me with mixed feeling, despite the main idea of the plot being a very interesting concept. If this book had been just a little shorter, and had a few less overlapping scenarios, it wold have been much more enjoyable. As written, it was pretty good, but not my favorite.

Highly Recommended!

I came upon this author by accident and was immediately hooked by both fast paced plotting and character development in all her books. This one was no exception. Remarkably she kept the suspense flowing until the very end. It's always pleasant to be surprised by developments

Excellent Writer

Dr. Melissa Caudle creates characters that make you feel as if they are real people you know, and you are cool enough to be friends with. Anything she writes about, also rings true. If she is talking about dirt in someone’s mouth or the smell of a corpse, you want to wash your mouth or hold your breath..She is an excellent writer.
