Publisher's Summary

This collection bundles the first three books of the action-packed John Stone adventure.

The Hard Kill

John discovers the murder of his friend, and abduction of his goddaughter might involve a prototype technology that could threaten the security of the free world. Now, with time running out, he must rely on the abilities of his former life to save his goddaughter from the same fate as her father. They want power. He's going to bring them a war.

Divide and Conquer

John hunts down the man who murdered his friend and fellow Ranger. With the support of a privately funded special mission force, John and his new brothers-in-arms pursue a team of highly trained mercenary operatives connected to his target. As the case unfolds, they find themselves in a race to discover the truth behind a top secret joint-military venture.

Fractured Allegiance

John's discovery of Project: Guardian reveals deeper levels of corruption than anyone knew. But when someone with considerable power shakes things up, John becomes a primary suspect. Forced into hiding, unable to trust his former teammates, John Stone must clear his name. To finish the job, John must confront a threat from his past.

Straight forward good story

In the past I’ve been disappointed by authors that create these awesome protagonists , but always ruin them by making them all weepy and sympathetic when action is needed. This book doesn’t do that. Lol

First of the manning brothers for me.

This was the first book/series from the manning brothers that I have read/listened to. I can tell you for a fact it won’t be the last for me. Fast paced, well told story. Can’t wait for the rest of John Stones story to come to audio books. As I write this review I am starting book 4. Keep up the great work.

weak story

it was at the least a time filler.. no real suspense. some characters would have been even more interesting if they were fleshed out more (Parker) others like Dr. who cares

Action-Packed Thrill Ride!

A great storyline running through all three books so far in the series. John Stone is a believable hero, and there are plenty of really bad bad guys to make you root for him. The authors have done their homework on weapons and tactics, so it makes it believable. I can't wait to see how the series progresses! great job Manning brothers... keep it going.

Good story

I enjoyed the story especially Stones no nonsense approach to getting the job done. The story was not complicated and fun to follow. Anyone who enjoys a straight forward action pack story this is for you. Some of the characters had the same sound to the voice and at some points it was hard to tell the difference. Unless their names were used to identify them.
