Publisher's Summary

It should be a happy time for India and Matt, but forces beyond their control conspire to ruin their future. A distraction from their troubles comes in the form of murder.

When the editor of The Weekly Gazette is killed, controversial journalist and ink magician, Oscar Barratt, asks India and Matt to investigate. As the recipient of threatening letters written on magic paper, he believes he was the intended target. With suspects ranging from Oscar's brother to guild masters and London's elite, India and Matt have a lot of investigating to do.

But the more they dig, the more dark secrets they uncover; secrets that involve blackmail and an exclusive club of magic collectors who want to preserve the value of their collections. When one of the secrets can give India and Matt the future they desire, will they give in to blackmail or sacrifice their happiness?

Outstanding series!

I started listening to this series because Audible suggested it. I became captivated. I have listened to all the books more than once and was eagerly awaiting the release of the latest installment, The Ink Master's Silence. It does not disappoint! The character development is excellent and the narrator is superb. She makes an already well-written book simply come to life. I have already begun listening to this book again and look forward to reading other series from this author.

a happy ending after a very slow build to it

I still like the series, but the repetitive nature of the plot is starting to wear out

Finally!

Book six and FINALLY, well maybe, there's an end to the whining and doubt of whether or not there is a marriage in sight. I was going to quit the series if I had to endure one more book of the heroine's indecision. I could do without the "I couldn't lie..." too.

Anyway, I did like the series. It will be interesting to see how it goes on from here.

I liked the mystery but didnt care for the ending

I found that the mystery was very good. I didnt really care for the ending or for the fact that Steele lied to Glass. I am still at times bothered that she is so stupid at times. I really don't like her nativity i guess. it makes her appear stupid. But I do like all the other characters.

Great series

Book 6 is as good as book #1! Amazing story, the narrator is wonderful. Both the author and the narrator capture each character’s personalities so well that you feel like you actually know them!

Compelling Series

I've become totally involved in this series, although I'm not keen on series that are 'Serials' rather than complete stories with the same characters - but it is so well written, and the characters of India and Matt, as well as the 'supporting cast' so compelling I had to forgive Ms Archer. As for the narrator, I think Marian Hussy has done fantastic job of bringing the characters to life and, for me, is totally convincing. My only quibble withe the story is that Matt seems to do a lot of 'purring' and although he is a bit of a pussycat, it does get a bit wearing after a while, but he's such a likable character I have to forgive this too, and I was really rooting for him and India to get together.

Very well read!

Absolutely loved hearing about Matt and India fighting once again for the secret magicians. Marian Hussey read the story brilliantly and was a joy to listen to.
