Jordanna Max Brodsky
Manhattan has many secrets. Some are older than the city itself.
The city sleeps. In the predawn calm, Selene DiSilva finds the body of a young woman washed ashore, gruesomely mutilated and wreathed in laurel. Her ancient rage returns, along with the memory of a promise she made long ago -- when her name was Artemis.
Jordanna Max Brodsky's acclaimed debut sets Greek Gods against a modern Manhattan backdrop, creating an unputdownable blend of myth and mystery.

If you could sum up The Immortals in three words, what would they be?
A wonderful journeyWhat did you like best about this story?
I thoroughly enjoyed being swept into a great story set in a world supported by the writer's knowledge of both classical mythology and the city of New York.Would you be willing to try another one of Jordanna Max Brodsky and Robert Petkoff ’s performances?
I immediately jumped to the 2nd novel so, yes. Petkoff's performance is polished as expected from the veteran performer. While I found elements of Brodsky audio work initially irritating, her enthusiasm and passion carried the performance to a point where the reading had established a consistency between characterizations. The irritation was mild and likely the result of my familiarity with Petkoff's voices, but the mood dissonance helped set a tone which plays well as characters and their worlds collide. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I found myself sitting in the car waiting for a good point to stop between listenings, only to discover I didn't want to stop.Any additional comments?
Greatly appreciate the colleagues, friends and family who inspired and contributed the necessary motivation to bring this tale to paper. So very glad I found this story and look forward to continuing the series.Wonderful fuzion of urban fantasy & Greek myth

One of the best things about the audio book is the choice, first, of two narrators - male and female - throughout, and second, of the choice of those particular narrators. Robert Petkoff is one of the best narrators in the business. Each character he creates has his or her own distinctive voice and one that is absolutely true to the character. His female voices are as good as his male voices. Similarly, Ms Brodsky does a superb job of voicing not only her heroine, but all of the other voices in her segments. One might assume that an author would be the best interpreter of her own characters, but this is rarely true. Ms. Brodsky is a delightful exception.
I can only say that I was very sad when I came to the end and can only wait anxiously for more from the author.
Exciting start for a very different series
