Not what I was expecting.

What did you love best about The Immortals?

The Narrators and learning about Greek Mythology.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I loved the acknowledgements at the end. She gave credit where credit was due.

Have you listened to any of Jordanna Max Brodsky and Robert Petkoff ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first by Jordanna Brodsky, she did excellent job narrating. Robert Petkoff is the BOMB!! In fact, I purchased this book because I searched specifically for his name as narrator. He did not disappoint! He could read anything and make it interesting. He's my favorite by far!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No.

Good book

I really enjoyed this book I learned from it. It also kept me guessing about the story. I would say it was very well written and it’s a good book.

I really wanted to like this.

In contemplating how to write this, trying to be kind and fair to the author and readers, the word that keeps pushing its way into my mind is: "exhausting."

I can't find dimensionality in the characters. While listening and vacuuming, I find myself focusing on the vacuum.

It's worth a re-write with additional character development and depth.

Awesome!!!!

For adults who are fans of books by Rick Riodan, this is an amazing book. can wait to start the next book.

it was a great story, & a great book. I did truly enjoy it up until the end. It is not often you find a good book with a female heroine that does not involve romance. so I was quite disappointed when they brought Theo back to life.

Such a fantastic start to a fantastic trilogy

This is an excellent start to a series. My only real complaint is that I wish Jordanna Max Brodsky would write more books!

Be prepared to learn a lot about Greek Mythology.

I really enjoyed this read/ listen. The characters are interesting and sometimes funny. I learned a lot of interesting information about Greek Gods and found myself looking up more information on each one.
The narration is fantastic. Robert Petkoff is one of my favorites and Max Brodsky was surprisingly excellent for an author / narrator. If you are interested in mythology then this is a fun way to learn more about it.

Fun

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Not predictable, the characters are complex and realistic, and I really appreciated the merging of the Ancient Greek pantheon with modern NYC. Well done!
