Publisher's summary

In postwar Chicago, a humble ice delivery man discovers that his son was struck by an unremorseful drunk driver. Despite the challenges of a police cover-up and the celebrity status of the culprit, he refuses to be denied justice. The Iceman will stop at nothing, even if that means going toe-to-toe with the heavyweight champion of the world.

A beautiful and beautifully performed story.

One of those rare tales that, despite the simplicity or perhaps because of it, works so well. As a listener, you can really feel the raw emotion. Of course with R.C. Bray at the helm of the performance, it's hard to go wrong.

This one might give you the feels.

Wow. Just wow.
I'm at a loss for words. This is probably the most amazing standalone I've listened to in a long time. Usually books make me laugh or go "wtf"... This one actually evokes strong emotion. In a good way.

The story is so very bittersweet. The characters are relatable and realistic. The writing is fantastic. The narration is superb.

Outstanding.
