Publisher's summary

If you are an INTJ woman and want to learn how to live and thrive with the INTJ MBTI personality, then this is a fantastic, helpful guide for you.

Here are some of the things you will learn inside this guide:

  • What does it mean to be an INTJ female and how is this different from being an INTJ male?
  • Growing up a young INTJ girl is difficult, but how do these experiences shape us?
  • Discover why you felt like an outsider as a child, and continue to feel this way into adulthood.
  • Gain a better understanding of why it is so difficult to make and sustain friendships due to your personality type.
  • Learn more about your thirst for education: why you’re always seeking knowledge, taking extra classes, and reading shelves full of books.
  • Grasp a better understanding of why others struggle so much to understand and relate to you, view your personality, and handle your lack of stereotypical female traits.
  • Understand why you enjoy and even thrive on alone time, and why you find socialization and normal peer to peer interaction draining.
  • Explore what subjects interest you and what career paths will potentially make you happy or unhappy, and address the constant state of restlessness you feel at your job.
  • Get insight about what type of partner you need to have a healthy, thriving relationship; also explore some of the traits you likely display as a female INTJ partner/spouse.
  • Understand some common issues encountered because the INTJ type includes many stereotypical male traits.
  • Most importantly: walk away with an understanding that although your personality type is rare, there is nothing wrong with you or anything that needs to be changed.

As an INTJ woman you are rare and wonderful just the way you are.

shinfo I already knew

I guess I was looking for more depth and solutions/ coping skills with being an INTJ female rather than a description and validation of what I already know from the personality type in general. The book was very short, extremely repetitive and I hated the narrator, she was obnoxious sounding. What a waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor get on the internet and look up the personality type yourself for free, you'll receive the exact same information with more depth and understanding without the obnoxious narrating.

A more specific title needed

Any additional comments?

A better title would be “The INTJ Female: How to Understand and Embrace Your Unique MBTI Personality as an INTJ White, heterosexual, middle-class woman”. I wish this had been the description from the outset so that we understand that the information is specific to a certain type of INTJ woman.

Baseless Opinions

This is an essay about everything the author needs to get off her chest after a lifetime of being misunderstood and unappreciated. Some of what she says is accurate, but personal experience is her only supporting evidence.

Challenges and weaknesses of this personality type barely mentioned.

No advice about how this personality type can improve or relate to others.

Overview

Great general overview and a quick read. Although it’s nothing new that I haven’t already researched.

Interesting Concept, With One Major Flaw

This book has an interesting concept, and a lot of good information. As someone who has done a lot of research about INTJs (including being one myself!) most of it seemed pretty solid. However, the author does talk a lot about how rare INTJ females are, even saying once that she herself has never met another INTJ female. Um…what? She wrote this whole mini-book about INTJ females, never having met a single one besides herself? Color me skeptical. Some stuff she attributes to her MBTI in this book I wonder if that’s just her own personal thing because it was very much the opposite of my own experience with this same personality type, and her sample group was apparently one person.

Redundant and lacking in depth

I wasn't expecting much depth for an hour long audiobook, but it just seemed like all the content could've been summarized in less than 30m. I gave it 3 stars cause there were some good insights in there

Worth a listen, but lacks depth

Interesting and reaffirming, but the language and information is repetitive. I think more could be expanded in strengths & weaknesses, as well as potential career paths. Interviews with real world INTJs (besides the author) would add some depth to the book.

not helpful

having this personality type is hard.
struggling to not control situations. needing structure and plans. relationships are difficult, holding in your emotions.

I feel like this audio book, the author is just talking about themselves and seems very indulgent. not helpful at all.
