It's autumn in Yulethorpe and everyone is gloomy. It's cold, drizzly and the skies are permagrey. The last shop on the high street - an adorable little toy shop - has just shut its doors. Everything is going wrong for Yulethorpe this autumn. Until Clara Kristensen arrives.

Clara is on holiday but she can see the potential in the pretty town, so she rolls up her sleeves and sets to work. Things are looking up until Joe comes to Yulethorpe to find out exactly what is going on with his mother's shop. Joe is Very Busy and Important in the City and very sure that Clara is up to no good. Surely no one would work this hard just for the fun of it?

Can a man who answers emails at 3 a. m. learn to appreciate the slower, happier, hygge things in life - naps, candles, good friends and maybe even falling in love?

Loved the Sweet, Cozy Tale

Loved the simplicity of this book and how it served as a reminder to slow down and "smell the roses" so to speak. Loved it! Will no doubt listen to it again. Narrator did a beautiful job. Enjoyed how the accent made it all the more hygge.

My favorite

The Hygge Holiday has brought me intense pleasure in the numerous times I've listened to the audible book. The soft, expressive voice of the narrator is a perfect companion to a story of wonder, optimism and creativity. My last listen will surely not be my last listen. Wish there were more like it. I'm on the lookout.

I wish I had a toy shop

A village toy shop. That’s all I need. With a flat above. This story has convinced me! It’s not asking too much, right? It’s a fun read with good characters. A well-rounded story with one tiny plot hole - Joe would not have been able to enter into any agreement to sell his mother’s shop without the legal right to it. Crisis averted. Thankfully, the plot didn’t hinge on this detail for long. In the end, I enjoyed the story and wish I could visit!

Adorable and sweet read

I just loved this sweet story... it kept my attention throughout, waiting for what happened next. Highly recommend the hygge-lig feeling you get when reading this book. Adorable. ❤

Amazing & Cozy Book

Review title describes how I felt while reading it! I can’t think of a book I’ve enjoyed any more than this in recent years! So very descriptive, I felt like I was there with Clara! Would be thrilled if there is going to be a sequel!! ☺️

Sweet and predictable

An entertaining holiday read similar to a Hallmark movie with Hygge lifestyle tips. Enjoyable but I would have rather not have used a $16 credit on it.
