What makes a home, wood nailed together, a shelter to feel safe in? Or is it the people that inhabit it? Many families have occupied the same space at different times. We grow, and we pass away in our homes. We mourn, then we move on, but we do not forget. The houses also remember us, the walls saturated with good and sometimes bad memories. Is this idea a figure of speech? In my experience, a home holds more than memories.
I was interacting with our world from an intersecting one. Many religions call this other world different things. One thing is for sure the two are intertwined, each side interacting with the other. Some places in this world are like doorways between the two. One of these places is The House on Center. My grandmother's house, where my mother grew up and where I spent much of my time until I was a teenager. This book is a detailing of my experiences as well as those of others who have lived there.
Many families inhabited this house over time as well as evil entities. Even thinking about it still chills me to this day. Now as an adult with much more research under my belt, I am sharing stories of Center St and the path it caused me to venture down. Being ordained to perform house blessings, I have never witnessed a place as wicked as my grandmother’s. I feel it is tainted ground, stained by the blood of Native Americans and Soldiers: a cursed place, a beacon to entities with only evil intent.
I enjoyed it!
