Publisher's Summary

A place of history, secrets…and witchcraft.

Devin Lyle has recently returned to the Salem area, but her timing couldn't be worse. Soon after she moved into the eighteenth-century cabin she inherited from her great-aunt Mina - her "crazy" great-aunt, who spoke to the dead - a woman was murdered nearby.

Craig Rockwell - known as Rocky - is a new member of the Krewe of Hunters, the FBI's team of paranormal investigators. He never got over finding a friend dead in the woods. Now another body's been found in those same woods, not far from the home of a woman named Devin Lyle. And Devin's been led to a third body - by…a ghost?

Her discovery draws them both deeper into the case and Salem's rich and disturbing history. Even as the danger mounts, Devin and Rocky begin to fall for each other, something the ghosts of Mina and past witches seem to approve of. But the two of them need every skill they possess to learn the truth - or Devin's might be the next body in the woods…

GREAT story, so-so narrator.

Narrator is a bit goofy with the voices however, Heather Graham's writing never fails to entertain.

Repetitive

I wanted to like this book, but it felt more like an advertisement for Wicca than a novel. The main character talks about how good Wicca is and how much they are misunderstand so much that it becomes very repetitive. I gave up about half way through.

Unsolved Mysteries

Seriously, the narrator almost sounded like the guy from Unsolved Mysteries, very monotone. Made the romantic scenes hard to get into but he did a pretty good job being able to sound like a female during a females dialogue.Normally I really like Heather Grahams books because she puts everything I love to read about in them, romance, mystery & a good old ghost story but unfortunately this time the story was all over the place complicated.Too many characters to keep track of & for ALL the chatacters to happen to still live in the same town after 13 years with the exception(like usual)the main character or characters in this case"Rocky".Even Deven had moved away for a while and came back.A bit hard to believe. The good thing about the story was you were pointing a finger at just about every body,I honestly thought from the beginning it was Hailey, the good little house wife, who would have guessed her but nope...it was one of the many who you would normally suspect.Still a good story, may be read this one instead.

The narration made it worth the listen

The story is similar in plot line with previous Krew of Hunter books. However, the story is solid and the narrator performs the book very well so that I didn't mind the similar plot line.

Same story

Heather Graham has used the same story with a different setting for many of the books in this series. At this point, I've lost interest...

Book 13 of The Krewe of Hunters Series

This book is based in Salem, Massachusetts. It uses the famous (or infamous) Witch Trials as the back drop for a modern murder story.

Like all Krewe of Hunters books, this has paranormal elements as well as romance.

A winning formula that I enjoy. When I choose one of this series to read/ listen to, I know what is going to happen.

In this story I must say that I have learnt a number of things about the Witch Trials that I didn't know.
