He wants to save me.

Braxton is a physician, and I'm sure that the feeling of wanting to heal people comes naturally to him. Too bad I'm not interested.

All I want is to make sure my friend is safe and to find out what is going on with me physically. Braxton can help me with that, but from the heated glances thrown my way, I'm sure he wants to do more than examine me.

His medical discovery will shock us both, and I'll find myself in the exact place I never expected - trusting him.

Can he find a remedy to heal my wounded soul, or will I push him away before he can actually see how broken I am?

I enjoyed Music - narrator- in this series but she's fantastic in the Hearts of Stone series, the stories of Makayla and the other women exchanged for armed support from the Borraq-Gargoyles. Braxton and Skylar's story was a fun and exciting ride! And what a nice twist about her lineage, very nice! I enjoyed the first book, but not the narrator! The second book was cute, love Morgan and Zaeden. The third book was great, all of the external issues of the main characters created an engaging read. I skipped the fourth book, plot was not interesting -but I might read it at some point. I'm glad I read Braxton and Skylar's story, my top favorite of the series for sure!!!!!

Best book of the series!!!!

I agree with the previous reviewer; this story would be so much better with the right narrators; Music doesn’t change voice much between characters and is a bit irritating. The unnecessary profanity would be better; her voice is flat with no feeling. Sounds like she is reading rather than developing the characters. I hope another narrator; hopefully two or narrator that can do well with male and female characters. Good story with subpar narrator.

The narration was annoying, and made the story unbearable 😑. Now on to the review of the story...I'm all for female empowerment, but the female character WORKED MY NERVE!!! She was arrogant, stubborn, smug, and had no self control. Why do the writer's always think that spanking is the best punishment...I mean come on. I got this to complete the story, but I was disappointed 😞. I would've stopped at book 4 if my OCD hadn't nagged at me to complete the series🤦‍♀️. If you are like me and have to complete the series wishing all the characters involved a HEA...then waste the credit. Otherwise save your sanity and pass this up.

New Narrator Please
