Marie Lauran is a young medical school graduate desperately looking for a job. Just as her savings are about to run out, she lands an assistant position with the famous surgeon Professor Kern. excellent with a great narrator

Fantastic book. Very much in the vein of Frankenstein, the Time Machine, Lovecraft, the invisible man, etc, early sci-fi. Not in terms of the story so much as the general feel of it. I really enjoyed this book and wish more of his work was translated. Great reader too.

Great story, ok reading, terrible editing

I enjoyed the book, despite its delivery. The reader was decent. Could be better, could be worse. But the uneven, rough editing was awful, and distracting. (It even repeated a short section near the end.) The only thing that saves this at all is that the story is interesting.

The concept is interesting. The book was well performed. I listened to the end and enjoyed it.
