Dana Stabenow has created another fascinating heroine. Clare is right up there with Kate at her best. And Marguerite Gavin again performs perfectly.

love the stiry line, the interesting history of Santa Fe Railroad and the Harvey Houses, but I want the solution of the mystery!!!

I really enjoyed this first book in a new series by one of my favorite authors, Dana Stabenow. This series takes place in New Mexico at one of the Harvey house locations. One of the things I like best about Dana‘s writing is that her main characters are always intelligent well Red women. This book has no exception. The main character Claire is a Pinkerton detective.

Excellent start to a new series

I enjoyed the introduction of a woman Pinkerton in the late 1890's. So cool, and a cool character in Clare. I can't wait for her further adventures.
