I didn’t hate the book but main character is shamefully annoying!

This is not the worst book that I have listened to. However, I have read many psychological thrillers with annoying main characters but this main character takes the cake! “Joe” is just so irritating, weak, and unrealistic. Eh! Self involved to the nth degree! Book is just fine; the pace is a bit slow. I didn’t hate it.

THEIS BOOK, ALONG WITH MANY MYSTERIES IVE READ. HAVE WEAK. WEAK WOMEN. FOR ONCE I WOULD LIKE TO READ A BOOK WITH STRONG WOMEN.

I Just Don’t Know

I just don’t know where to begin with this one. I was expecting so much more from the book after listening to the first few chapters but it fell short for me. The main character, Jo, is so in love with Will that it’s sad. Every bad thing the man does is excused by her. It’s very frustrating. This is also more of a drama than a thriller or mystery.

This was an interesting story in ways. It seemed like it was going the typical cheating husband and all that then it surprised me. I will say she kind of made a lot of presumptions with only a little bit of information. It made me roll my eyes more than a few times. Overall a pretty good read and a step above the typical British psychological thrillers I seem to be addicted to.

Glad i didn’t read the reviews

I really enjoyed this book and I’m not sure why so many people thought the main character was awful. The story was good, didn’t figure it out until almost the end and then even then I didn’t know it all! I thought it was a good read!

Twists and turns ... especially at the very end

The majority of the book was okay, kept my interest but the end had a lot of twists and turns and had a good ending. Did not guess what actually happened until they told you. Narration was good. Some was not really believable but it was entertaining.

Great Book!

I liked it the whole way through as I couldn’t stop listening, very catching and keeps you wanting to hear more!

Good . . But...

So. This began very good. And it did keep me wanting to listen to get the whole story. But I agree with some of the other reviewers. The characters were rather annoying. It was hard to get on board and cheer for any of them. Not just because you weren't sure who was crazy, but because they all were! And while there were a few tidbits that made me guess what had been going on, I did want to listen in hopes there was a crazy twist. Not really. It bounced back and forth ( which is fine in thrillers because you get fed small bits of information at a time) but even at the end it bounced back and forth to get the whole story. ugh. I enjoyed the narrator!!

Boring

Serious struggle to finish! Even the climax couldn't keep my attention. Pass on this one.

This book was awesome!

Not everything is as it seems in this book! It was very good from beginning to end. Karma is real in this story!
