The three couples travel to Portugal for Ali and Will’s destination wedding. The weekend away at the gorgeous cliff-top villa is a chance to relax and get to know Ali a little better. She seems perfectly nice—and Will seems happy after years of bad choices.

But when Rachel discovers a shocking secret about Ali, everything changes. As the wedding weekend unfolds, the secrets each of them holds begin to spill, and friendships and marriages threaten to unravel.

In Sandie Jones’s explosive new suspense novel, jumping to conclusions can become the difference between life and death.

If you are on the fence get it!

I had this on my wishlist for a while. When it finally came out I got it that day. Great storyline, it held my attention the entire time. You won’t regret this one.

UGH !

As I listened to this book I kept writing reviews in my head... never a good sign. I don't even know how to review it without spoilers, but what an overall unlikable cast of characters! The narrator did a good job considering what (who) she had to work with, but mostly I found the entire story to be really annoying.

Soap opera

You ever wrote in the review I read that this was nothing more than a soap opera and not a mystery was spot on. The only reason I was able to make it through this book was because of the narrator. However, the narrator was also the reason I was dumb enough to waste a credit on this drivel in the first place. If you like bad sophomoric soap operas this book is for you.

Not a mystery/thriller

This more of drama, well a Jerry Springer drama really. Still good but not what I was expecting based on the summary. It always bothers me when they do that, like false advertising.

Good twist, but unlikable characters

The Guilt Trip by Sandie Jones is about a group of friends who go on a trip together for their friend's wedding. The bride is young and bubbly and unpopular in the group, and it's believed that she's having an affair even before the wedding (or several). We discover that people aren't really what they seem when things come to a head during the weekend.

The Guilt Trip is an okay listen and it's narrated well. The problem I found was the unlikable characters. I really didn't connect to any of them, and found myself liking the 'shunned bride' over all of them. I doubt this is an intentional conclusion by Sandie Jones.

The Guilt Trip is still credit worthy, and I will continue to listen as Jones continues to delkiver.

Soap opera…

Possible spoiler:
There is no action until the end. Admittedly the dialogue and drama is interesting but do not expect crazy twists or suspenseful situations. It’s straight out couple drama until the end. I was very disappointed. I took away the two stars for calling it a thriller and me expecting some mystery or something thrilling. It just wasn’t there.

Excellent listen!!

I couldn’t stop listening! Great book! I wouldn’t call it a mystery or a thriller per se but, it sucked me in as deep as any. Lots of layers and beautiful complex story with well defined characters. The descriptions made me feel like I could see everything that was happening.

I’d guessed part of what was going on in the story but the end took a turn I didn’t see coming. Soooo good!

The narrator’s performance was incredible. She did a beautiful job with several different characters throughout.

Worth a credit for sure!

It’s a “grabber”!

Wow! This book hooks the reader or listener in right away. It is impossible to put it down until it is finished. The 5 main characters are all possible villains or possible good people. It takes until the end of the book to really know.

Sappy and repetitive

And at times insulting, insipid. But I did continue to listen, mostly because of the excellent narrator.
