Meet sports agent Cole Bennett, the only one of the Bennett brothers to walk down the aisle. But when he gets jilted at the altar, he returns to his hometown to lick his wounds.
Savannah is a gorgeous ray of sunshine and smart as a whip. But if she doesn't cough up a huge amount of cash soon, the bank will foreclose on her family's home.
Cole's brother Rex asks Cole to head up a construction project for him. He introduces a tract of land with the idea that it could be a perfect baseball stadium . . . if Cole gets the locals' support. Rex saddles Cole with Savannah, who plays personal assistant to Cole. With Savannah's help, they should sail through the hoops set for them by the city.
When Savannah trips, Cole saves her from falling and pulls her against his body. The kiss afterward is instinctual . . . but also reckless. So why does it feel so right?
Nothing steamy can happen between them. Cole's not planning on staying in town long. And Savannah's such a good girl that she practically screams relationship material.
Cole and Savannah just have to make it through a few months of close contact without falling for each other. That should be easy enough . . . right?
Contains mature themes.

Just Bad

The story is typical, exactly what you expect, with few ups or downs. Not hot, not cold, just tepid. I didn’t much like the characters. It all seemed slightly superficial and artificial. Both her “drama” and his were far fetched. The push-pull was forced.
If this were a 2-hour book, I would rate it higher but it is so long that I couldn’t wait to finish it.
Unimaginative, longwinded story, with problematic audio
